Planning Commission Minutes for 9/30/04
The working meeting of the New London Township Planning Commission opened at 7 p.m. Present were: Ronald Ragan, chair; Thomas Mahaney, vice-chair; Margaret Healy, secretary; Robert Barto; James Mark; Frank McBerty; and Jack Weber.
Site Visit
The meeting was preceded by a 6 p.m. site visit to the McDowell property on Avondale-New London Road.
Minutes
On a motion by Mr. Weber and seconded by Mr. McBerty, the minutes of the 8/15/04 meeting were approved by all members voting. Mr. Mahaney abstained, as he had been absent from the meeting.
Waste Collection
and Recycling Ordinances
Mr. Ragan presented three revised documents from the Refuse and Recycling Committee. One ordinance is enabling legislation and the other two contain proposed rules: one set of rules for refuse collection and another for recycling. Planning Commission members were asked to review these documents and supply comments to Mr. Ragan. Discussion is plan for October.
New Ordinances
County Planning Commission comments on proposed new ordinances have been received. Most comments were minor. Planning Commission members plan to review these comments at the October 20 meeting. Township Supervisors will be invited to attend.
Planning
Commission Vacancy
Mr. Ragan noted that Eileen Sparling of Thunder Hill has been offered the Planning Commission seat vacated by the resignation of Mr. Piorko. She has not yet responded.
Adjournment
On a motion by Mr. McBerty, seconded by Mr. Weber, and approved unanimously, the meeting adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
