WORK MEETING
MINUTES
August 19,
2004
The
New London Township Board of Supervisors Work Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at
the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Jack Arrell, Dale Lauver and Robert Barto.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There
was no public comment.
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS
Zoning Hearing Board –
Appointment of Mike Vannelli
On
a motion made by Dale Lauver, seconded by Bob Barto, the Board appointed Mike
Vannelli to serve as an alternate on the Zoning Hearing Board.
Lester Property Pond
Dale
Lauver reported that water from the pond on the Lester property is eroding the
bank and is crossing the road. Jack
Arrell stated that this is undermining the township’s infrastructure for
handling stormwater. Jack also stated
that drainpipe work on Creek Road at the Chester Water Authority site should
take place simultaneously in order to solve the entire problem. Ron Ragan and Trish Fagan will review the
pond issue. Ron will also check with
the Conservation District to see if grants are available.
Act 247 Review
The
Board agreed that the proposed Ordinance Amendment package be forwarded to the
Chester County Planning Commission for the Act 247 review.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
On
a motion made by Bob Barto, seconded by Dale Lauver, the Board approved the June
17, 2004 Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes.
The vote was unanimous.
There
was no public comment.
OLD BUSINESS
Dale
Lauver reported that the grant proposal has been received from McCormick Taylor
regarding the Route 896 Corridor Committee.
Jack
Arrell gave an update on the School Road Bridge project.
