The New London Township Board of Supervisors Meeting convened at 7:30 PM at the New London Township Building, New London, PA. The following Supervisors were present: Jack Arrell - Chairman, and Robert Barto - Member. There were no comments from the public on agenda items. SCHEDULED
ACTIONS/PRESENTATION TOPICS Building Inspector/Codes Enforcement Officer Ron presented the Board with information regarding a Building Inspector/Codes Enforcement Officer. Ron is still exploring candidates for Zoning Officer. He gave an overview of inspection costs for a building permit. Ron also provided samples of ordinances to adopt the International Residential Code and the International Building Code. Ron suggested putting everything into place for the beginning of the new year. Rental Discussion took place regarding rental of the township building. Bob Barto will draft wording on who can rent the building and what will be required. SECRETARY REPORT A motion was made by Bob Barto, seconded by Jack Arrell, to approve the September 19, 2002 Meeting Minutes. The vote was unanimous. There was no public comment. OLD BUSINESS 2003 Budget Jack suggested that information be gathered and reviewed for the budget process. The bridge on State Road east of Route 896 may impact the budget. The Budget Meeting is scheduled for November 4th at 7:30 p.m. NEW BUSINESS Joint
Comprehensive Plan The Joint Comprehensive Plan was presented. Any comments from the Board need to be given to the Secretary by November 11th. Bob reported that the Landscape, Sign and Lighting Ordinances are just about complete. The Planning Commission suggested that these three ordinances be given to a consultant as soon as possible in order to get them adopted. The Planning Commission will contact David Sweet to see if he can do the work. A motion was made by Jack Arrell, seconded by Bob Barto, to hire a consultant to complete the Landscape, Sign and Lighting Ordinances. There was no public comment. Ordinance
Codification The individuals reviewing the Ordinance Codification need to complete the review by the beginning December. A meeting will be set up with Keystate Publishers for mid-December.
